The 18th annual Latin Jazz & Salsa Festival in Richmond brought several Latin American communities together with displays of music, dancing and cultural pride.

“It feels incredible,” said Luis “Sweet Lou” Hidalgo, founder and host of the Latin Jazz & Salsa Festival. “All the obstacles that we go through every year are worth it, because at the end of it, we have a fellowship that goes on here.”

Local, national and international music artists such as Friday Love , Kevin Davis & Ban Caribe and Carlos Xavier performed during the event, which was held Saturday at Midtown Green.
