The first congressional district race is getting more crowded. Congressman John Larson has held the district seat since the late 1990s, and now members of his own party are saying it is time for him to step down.

Former Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin was the first to join the race. Current Hartford Board of Education member Ruth Fortune jumped in, and so did Southington Town Council member Jack Perry.
