One person has been taken to hospital following a crash on the A171 at Ormesby Bank. Cleveland Police has blocked off the road following the road traffic incident at around 3.30pm on Sunday afternoon, August 31.

The ambulance service has confirmed one patient has been taken to James Cook University Hospital by road. The team was assisted by the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

Police vehicles have blocked off the road in both directions at Ormesby Bank, Middlesbrough , and traffic is being diverted. Pictures from the scene show a number of police cars as well as an ambulance in attendance.
