Here’s WAVE News meteorologist Carson Meredith with your forecast.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Feeling a tad more like summer on this holiday with highs temperatures pushing into the low to mid 80s this afternoon.

Most will remain dry but an isolated thunderstorm can’t be ruled out for far southern Kentucky. Clouds increase ahead of our next system later tonight.

That will keep us a few degrees warmer in the upper 50s and low 60s Tuesday morning. Rain chances begin to climb on Tuesday.

Scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder are possible during the afternoon hours but many spots will get missed and stay dry. Highs in the 70s to near 80 Tuesday. Partly cloudy Tuesday night. Spotty showers possible. Lows in the 50s and 60s.
