Plans to stabilise a slipping hillside may lead to traffic problems, highway bosses have warned. has discovered signs of ground movement on Yarborough Hill, on Yarborough Road in . The pavement and a lay-by are damaged in areas.
Work to stabilise the hill is expected to start in summer 2026; however, it is likely to cause using the main road. The road is one of the main routes to the uphill portion of the city, and has a steep drop on the western side.
