CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Craven County Animal Services officers are investigating after a cat was found shot.

Investigators say that the cat was found shot near First Avenue in Vanceboro.

“This act of cruelty is unacceptable, and we are committed to investigating this case to the fullest extent of the law,” animal services said in a social media post.
