GLENDALE, Ore. - A fast-moving fire is burning near Lower Cow Creek Road outside Glendale, according to the Douglas Forest Protective Association.
DFPA officials said that the blaze began on the evening of Aug. 31 and has grown to 130 acres. Crews from several local fire departments are actively fighting the fire. They are using both ground and air resources to contain it. Level 1 evacuation orders are in place for residents between 30482 and 31302 Lower Cow Creek Road. Officials urge residents to stay alert and prepare for possible evacuations.
Authorities are investigating the fire's cause. They also emphasize the importance of keeping drones away from the area. Unauthorized drone flights can disrupt firefighting efforts and pose serious risks.
