DAPHNE, Ala. (WKRG) — Something special is growing in Baldwin County, a field of sunflowers is in full bloom in Daphne and it's free for everyone to enjoy.

It's a little slice of sunshine on the Eastern Shore. This sunflower patch is on the Sirmon family's farm in Daphne.

"It's just a happy place and it's just fun to see all the people come with their kids and walk around," Cory Donahue, visiting the farm, said. "It's just beautiful."

But this field isn't just a picture perfect spot, it's also planting seeds of hope for families in need.

While visiting the sunflower field is free, every donation helps Pilots for Christ continue providing life-saving flights to patients in need.
