BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) - Young batters made their way to the Beckley Little League field for the annual Home Run Derby event.

Each year, organizers with the City of Beckley and Beckley Little League have come together for the Home Run Derby competition. The event is as part of Beckley's annual Kids Classic Festival. Both kids and adults get chance to compete for bragging rights as they show off their skills at the Beckley Little League Field. Organizers said it also gives kids and parents alike a chance to socialize and have a great time. "For the kids, it's just great! They come down and kind of compete with each other, along with the parents also," said Beckley Little League Coach Pitch Director, Charles Campbell. Kids ages 8 and up can register to compete.
