CLEVELAND — Northeast Ohioans could have a good chance of seeing the northern lights overnight into Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

NWS Cleveland says the sky remains mainly clear, allowing for a potentially visible aurora.

So when and where do you have the best shot?

The NWS says the northern lights should be especially visible between roughly 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. Tuesday.

The best place to see the northern lights is along and near Lake Erie, especially anywhere with limited light pollution.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said a moderate geomagnetic storm is underway, with aurora potentially visible at high altitudes in the northern tier of the United States.
