AMES – Taylor Mouser was pretty blunt in his assessment of his feelings toward Iowa State quarterback Rocco Becht.

“I love him and he’s great,” the Cyclones ’ offensive coordinator said, “and I’d die for him.”

It wasn’t so long ago that Iowa State – its fans and its coaches – likely would have killed for the type of stability and production Becht has brought to the quarterback position.
