JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. —
A man is facing charges after a fire damaged a Walmart store in Homewood.
According to court documents and jail records, Mercutio Southall was arrested and charged with arson, criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance.
Legal filings state the charges are in relation to a fire which damaged a Walmart store on Aug. 22.
Jail records show Homewood police made the arrest and Southall was booked into jail Aug. 30.
A court document shows Southall is being held without bond, per Aniah's Law.
A court hearing was scheduled for Wednesday.
