The town is reconsidering its decision to cancel this year’s Day of Caring.
Late last month officials announced that the Barrington Day of Caring was taking a one-year hiatus in an effort to ensure the program remains sustainable and effective in the future. That news was met with some push-back from an official on the Barrington Day of Caring planning team, and recently, Barrington Town Manager Phil Hervey said the one-year break is being revisited.
“Basically, I think we need to regroup and see if we can get the Day of Caring back on track for this year,” Hervey wrote in a message to the Barrington Times. “The town will work closely with the committee, assuming they are back on board.”
