SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Springfield Community Preservation Committee held a public hearing Tuesday evening.

The hearing was held to gather public input on the city's priorities for open space, historic resources, outdoor recreation, and community housing.

Resident's comments will help shape the community preservation plan, which guides funding decisions under the Community Preservation Act. The committee will now use that plan to begin reviewing proposals from individuals and organizations before recommending projects to the Springfield City Council.
