TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) — Sun Tran's Route 22 may soon be discontinued, and community members are voicing their concerns. Sun Tran has proposed cutting Route 22, but before the Tucson City Council makes a decision, public meetings are scheduled to gather community feedback.

Riders of Route 22 gathered at the El Rio Neighborhood Center for the first of eight community input meetings Tuesday night. Many attendees expressed their desire to keep the route operational.

"I'm very concerned. So many cuts have already been made over to this westside area with bus service and now they want to cut even more service," said Elvia, a Sun Tran rider.
