With a location already opened in Henrico, a local acupuncture practice has expanded to Chesterfield.

Providence Acupuncture recently opened a new clinic at 15521 Midlothian Turnpike, near Westchester Commons.

Providence owner Yong Shin said he wanted to open a clinic in western Chesterfield to be closer to existing patients who live in that part of the region, and position himself to serve new patients in a growing area.

“I was always planning for a second location because a lot of the new developments are happening on this side of town,” Shin said. “People on this side of town, it’s like 30 to 40 minutes to drive to an appointment (at the practice’s Henrico location).”
