The Met Office has issued a swathe of new warnings across the UK as a barrage of thunderstorms are set to hit. Starting from 11am today and lasting until around 8pm, the Met Office has warned about thunderstorms “associated with scattered heavy showers may cause some impacts”. ‌

And as the country is currently being blanketed with rain, they state: “There is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus. ‌

“(There will) probably some damage to a few buildings and structure
