BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Two people were arrested and charged after a victim was allegedly struck multiple times while unconscious near Gallagher Beach early last month, according to Buffalo Police.

Police said officers responded to an assault call at Tifft Street and Fuhrmann Boulevard around 11 p.m. on Aug. 3. Witnesses said a victim was struck, hit his head, and lay unconscious while being struck multiple times by multiple people. His car was damaged as well.

Louis Bodine, 20, of Buffalo, was arrested two days later and charged with first-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief.

Ryland Schloerb, 21, of Tonawanda, was arrested Aug. 19 and charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief.

An investigation remains ongoing.
