BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) — A court hearing aimed at resolving a dispute involving leadership at King Center Charter School was postponed Thursday morning after three of the school's top administrators were abruptly removed by the institution's board of trustees in June.
The hearing was initially thought to be a lengthy one to help decide the fate of the ousted administrators; however, the judge wasn't sure that all steps had been taken to resolve the issue outside the court of law.
In June, during an eighth grade graduation ceremony, the school's principal, vice principal and dean of students were let go without warning. The school's director of curriculum and instruction then resigned in protest. Together, they had a combined 50 years of service to the school.
