NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Precious Stone was at work when she got a call saying her home was on fire.
“My neighbor called and said, ‘Your house is on fire and it’s burned down,’” Stone told WSMV. “When I came around the corner, they had to catch me because I broke down when I saw it.”
She and her next-door neighbor both lost their homes when they caught fire after a propane stove accident on Wednesday night.
Stone says she thanks God that no one was hurt, but was devastated to see her home completely destroyed. But she says she’s uniquely prepared to deal with this kind of heartbreak because she’s helped others through it before.
Stone is the executive director of Community Homes 33 , a nonprofit that helps house people in need.
