NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Two families were displaced after two homes caught fire on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Nashville Fire Department.

Crews with the Nashville Fire Department were called to 2705 Windcrest Trail for a report of a fire around 5:30 p.m.

When they arrived, the house was fully involved. NFD said a second home, which was exposed, also had heavy flames and smoke.

NFD reported that access to water was difficult due to cars parked in front of a fire hydrant.

Once they established a water supply, firefighters quickly contained the fire in both homes. Thanks to the quick and responsive efforts of crews, damage to a third home was minimized, according to NFD’s report.

No injuries were reported
