DE PERE, Wis. (WBAY) - With class now back in session, students and staff in the Unified School District of De Pere can appreciate major upgrades to several buildings.

Voters approved a $22 million referendum last November to pay for renovations.

These were major projects this summer dealing with maintenance on several buildings, focusing mostly on Heritage and Dickinson elementary schools and Foxview Intermediate School.

Work is ongoing at Dickinson, where the entire roof is being replaced. The roof is expected to be finished next month.

Dickinson is the oldest elementary school of the three in the district and had the most problems with water leaking into the building.
