A teen has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of man in High Point on Labor Day, High Point police said.
Obed Ndizihiwe, 18, is charged with shooting Tresor Shukura, 20 to death in the 800 block of East Lexington Avenue, police said.
When officers arrived at the scene about 9:30 p.m. Monday they found Shukura lying in the road. He died at the scene.
While responding to the shooting, officers were notified Ndizihiwe had been brought to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
Police said Shukura and the Ndizihiwe knew each other and that Ndizihiwe shot Shukura during an argument.
Ndizihiwe was charged after he was released from the hospital on Wednesday.
Ndizihiwe is currently being held in the Guilford County Jail in High Point with no bond allowed.
