MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. ( WWSB ) – Deputies have arrested a Bradenton man in connection with the violent death of his girlfriend earlier this year, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said.

Roger Villasana, 33, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 34-year-old Yassmin Montoya on April 8, 2025.

Deputies responded around 8 a.m. that day to a report of an unconscious woman inside a black Dodge Charger on 30th Avenue East in Bradenton. Montoya was found with severe facial swelling and other injuries and was taken to HCA Florida Blake Hospital.
