STAR CITY, Ark. — Arkansas State Police (ASP) are currently investigating the death of a 79-year-old woman after she sustained "life-threatening injuries."
ASP launched their investigation into the death of 79-year-old Ann Ward at the request of the Star City Police Department.
Police said that Ward visited a health clinic in Star City seeking treatment for injuries on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
Following that visit to the clinic, Ward was transferred to the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff which is where health professionals determined that Ward's injuries were life-threatening.
Ward was then transported by med-flight to UAMS in Little Rock where she later died as a result of her injuries on July 10, 2025.
