CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — Believe it or not, it won't be long until midterm elections heat up.

With that it in mind, county clerks across West Virginia are preparing for to facilitate local and state elections in 2026.

Earlier this week, count clerks from all 55 counties met in Tucker County for a training conference hosted by West Virginia Secretary of State Kris Warner.

"I thought it was amazing that all 55 counties were represented," Secretary of State Kris Warner said. "We had over 200 election officials from all over the state. Not just county clerks, but their election division staff members, too."
