SPOKANE, Wash. -- A man who admitted to drinking before causing a crash that killed two local high school students has been sentenced.
The Spokane County Prosecutor's Office says 34-year-old Jesse Roullier will spend the next 12 years in prison for killing 18-year-old Rogan Murrell and 17-year-old Jayneat Morgan and injuring another man in July 2024. The victims were students at Lewis and Clark High School.
Roullier admitted to drinking at the Coeur d'Alene Casino before driving along Highway 27 near Rockford. He crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with the victims head on.
Troopers on scene said they smelled alcohol in Roullier's car and on his breath and his eyes were watery and droopy. His blood alcohol content was almost twice the legal limit.
Roullier pled guilty to two cou
