FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - 35,000 lb. of ham was donated to the Great Plains Food Bank, this morning.

“This product will be on the tables of the families who are needing it within the week. It’s a substantial contribution and an incredible partnership with North Dakota Farmer’s Union. We are so very grateful,” says Great Plains Food Bank’s Chief Development Officer Marcia Paulson.

The massive donation is all thanks to the North Dakota Farmers Union/Farmers Union Enterprises from its Redwood Farms in Iowa.

Those with the GPFB say, protein is one of the most requested, yet difficult to secure food items for families facing hunger.
