GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) - The Greenville Police Department revealed data that crime has slightly increased this year in downtown Greenville’s central business district.
Last month a high-profile burglary happened at a Main Street retail store. Properly crime was shown to have increased by 13.1% since last year.
Shopliftings and thefts from vehicles have seen the largest increase, including the Lululemon store being burglarized.
Data shows that violent crime has actually decreased by 24.2%.
In total, crime in the central business district has increased by 5.5%.
