SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. - Firefighters fought a house fire early Wednesday morning in north Shelby County, the county's fire department said.

The fire was reported around 5:40 a.m. at a large, two-story house near North Watkins Street and Robertson Road. According to the Shelby County Fire Department (SCFD), firefighters arrived to visible smoke and fire coming from the home.

The fire department said the house was "75% involved upon arrival" of firefighters. It was under control by 6:40 a.m., SCFD said.

Fire officials said no injuries were reported, adding that they were working on how the fire started.
