A student at Waynesboro’s William Perry Elementary School told a teacher and a school administrator Thursday morning that an adult he knows had planted a gun inside a student's backpack.

Waynesboro police were able to confirm the gun’s location on school property and took possession of it. Neither students nor staff at William Perry was threatened or ever in danger
