FLINT, MI – The fire that damaged St. Mark Outreach Community Center on Aug. 30 caused extensive damage to the church, including smoke damage, broken windows and harm to service areas and office spaces.
Church officials issued a statement this week saying they are cooperating with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the local fire department on their investigations and “remain grateful for their diligence as we await the results of a complete investigation.”
“We are profoundly grateful for the swift and generous response from volunteers who rushed to clear debris and secure the building, embodying the strength and compassion of our community,” the statement continued.
