WOMEN’S COLLEGE SOCCER: UTPB begins season with a draw

The UTPB women’s soccer team began its new season with a goalless draw against Colorado State-Pueblo Thursday at Falcon Field.

Playing against the ThunderWolves for the first time since 2011, the Falcons (0-0-1) had 10 shots total and one on goal while CSU-Pueblo had 11 shots total and four o ntarget.

UTPB goalkeeper Valeria Delgado had four saves for the game.

The Falcons will remain at home for their next game when they host Wayland Baptist at 7 p.m. Sept. 10.
