MURRAY – The tornado warning sirens at Glendale Road and Riviera Courts in Murray once again failed to sound during Friday’s quarterly test.

Bill Call, deputy director for the Calloway County Office of Emergency Management, said the four sirens on Murray State University’s campus and the two in Hazel worked “perfectly.” However, it was a mixed bag for the four sirens owned by the City of Murray and overseen by the Murray Police Department. Call said the siren on Doran Road worked perfectly, but the Glendale Road and Riviera Courts sirens failed to work at all. The siren located downtown at the former Murray Fire Department headquarters was not tested Friday, he said.
