A man has been arrested months after being accused of hitting a child with a car in the parking lot of a Greenville restaurant and driving away.

Greenville police said in May they were called to Sacha’s Café on North Pleasantburg Drive about a child being hit in the parking lot. Latest Forecast

Police said the suspect had been driving recklessly, hit the child, backed into a parked car, and drove away.

The child had minor injuries.

Although a witness captured the suspect’s license plate, the driver's identity remained unknown until it was discovered that he had made a credit card purchase nearby.
