Hooded man smashes a dozen car windscreens in random act of violence

The windscreens of a dozen cars in Easton were smashed in by a hooded man.

Police officers were called to the area at around 10.10pm on Thursday, September 4 to reports of a man walking down the road damaging a slew of vehicles.

Though officers searched the area, they were unable to find the perpetrator, who was described as wearing a dark coloured jacket with the hood up.

At least 12 vehicles were damaged and the targeting appears to be random, Avon and Somerset Police said.

Those hit includes Audi, BMW, Citroen, Ford, Hyundai, Land Rover, Nissan, Peugeot, Toyota and Volkswagen cars and vans.

The neighbourhood policing team have carried out extra patrols in the area today (Friday, September 5).
