Matthew Dieringer is in custody as the suspect in the death of a 67-year-old man, Scottsdale police said Saturday.

Dieringer, who was described by police as “manipulative and charismatic,” was being sought after Frank Quaranta was found dead in his Scottsdale home, authorities said.

The suspected homicide occurred Sept. 1 at a home near 68 th Street and McDowell Road where police found Quaranta dead “in a targeted attack,” according to a Scottsdale police Department release.
