A 35-year-old man who is considered a suspect in the death of a man in Scottsdale was arrested Saturday in Phoenix after police received a tip, authorities said.

Matthew Dieringer was spotted by a person on Sept. 6 near 13th Street and Indian School Road after authorities had been searching for him for nearly a week, according to a Scottsdale Police Department release.

Phoenix police responded to the area just before 9 a.m. and arrested Dieringer for a probation violation warrant.
