LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Crews with the Lexington Fire Department (LFD) worked to put out flames after a house fire on Saturday that left one person displaced.
According to Battalion Chief Derek Roberts, crews were dispatched just after 2 p.m. on Sept. 6 to the 2500 block of Knightsbridge Lane in response to an electrical fire, which had been upgraded as flames from an electrical box spread to the house it was attached to.
When crews got to the house, flames were reportedly already showing.
"Crews quickly extinguished the bulk of the fire and extinguished small hotspots extending into the attic," Battalion Chief Roberts said.
An investigator is heading to assess the scene of the Saturday afternoon fire. Officials said while one survivor was displaced, no one was injured.
