The Norwalk Oyster Festival has been canceled for Saturday due to the weather, according to Norwalk Police.
Officers said based on the current forecast for severe weather including hail, lightning and possible tornadoes, the festival has been canceled for Saturday.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed parts of western and northern Connecticut under a level 2 (out of 5) risk for severe weather Saturday.
It is expected to reopen on Sunday at 11 a.m.
