Crews worked to restore power and fix wires to clean up areas of the state after storms Saturday night.

A large tree fell on Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church on New Milford Turnpike. Jay Molloy, who lives across from the church, heard the tree fall.

“[It sounded like] a loud crack and it just kind of fell," he said. "Everything just kind of rumbled a little bit and this is what we're left with.”

Molloy said the storm passed quickly and didn’t damage his house but brought powerlines and trees came down by his neighbor’s.

“You know, someone was watching over us because with the the destruction around us, we feel really fortunate," Molloy said.
