Aussies in the southeast have been told to expect “very wet” conditions in the coming week, with a fast-approaching cold front set to deliver huge rainfall totals to a number of states.
A cold front that battered the west coast is now tracking east, and is expected to bring widespread showers and powerful thunderstorms to numerous southern states come Monday.
Sky News meteorologist Marina Neuman said the system will first move through the Northern Territory and then enter New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Queensland from Monday and Tuesday.
"From Monday, the outback will see some heavy rainfall as the trough moves through Alice Springs, then really starting to build on the east once we head into our Tuesday morning," she said.
