LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - We could be flirting with a record low Sunday morning as temperatures plummet into the 40s. Temperatures do rebound into the 70s later on.

Let’s start with our overnight temperatures. Low 40s to low 50s are likely.

Mid 70s to low 80s are expected in the afternoon.

Regarding precipitation we should be overall dry to close out the weekend, outside of some isolated showers and storms out west. We will be watching out for rain further north and east on Monday.

The big weather story this week is the significant warming trend with highs returning into the 80s. Small rain chances are in place all week and the next chance for showers and storms will be Friday.
