Abundant Life Tabernacle Full Gospel Baptist Church is inviting the community to a Men’s Prostate Cancer Awareness Event aimed at promoting early detection and overall wellness.

The event will take place Sept. 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Abundant Life Tabernacle, 1701 Franklin Ave., in New Orleans. Organizers say the program will bring together physicians, community leaders and health advocates to raise awareness about prostate cancer and men’s health. Advertisement

Free health services will be available, including prostate checks, blood pressure and blood sugar testing, body fat analysis, and pneumonia and tetanus vaccines. A Men’s Health and Wellness Panel will also feature experts discussing preventive care, prostate cancer, colorectal cancer and healthy eating.
