LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) - After a hot Saturday with a few coastal storms, humid air returns for one more night ahead of a cold front. Temperatures overnight will settle in the 70s with partly cloudy skies and an isolated rain chance. Sunday will see one or two showers possible before midday ahead of the front which will bring drier air and sunshine for the afternoon. A nice northerly breeze will usher in lower humidity as temperatures reach the upper 80s.
The tropics are looking much quieter as the one tropical wave we've been following has all but disappeared thanks to plentiful dry air. Development chances have decreased down to a low chance, but more than likely, this wave will fade away and not do much. Beyond that, the tropics look to remain quiet over the next week.
