Police have arrested a 38-year-old man suspected of murdering his wife, whose death “under suspicious circumstances” was initially reported earlier in the week, according to a Honolulu Police Department social media post.

District 3 patrol officers responded to a call reporting the death of a 43-year-old woman at her Halawa residence around 11 a.m. Thursday. Police arrested her husband around 6:35 p.m. Saturday on suspicion on second-degree murder.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office has not released her name or cause of death.

HPD did not release further details on the case, saying charges will be pursued through the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney.
