JACKSON, MI -- The Jackson County Animal Shelter, 3770 Spring Arbor Road, has many pets available for adoption.

Here are two of them.

Rey is a 10-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who came in as a stray.

This elderly gentleman is all black with a little gray on his muzzle. If you are looking for a mellow mature guy, Rey is your pup. He is not a jumper, barker or puller.

Most of the time, Rey is just an excellent napper. Labrador’s are known to be friendly, intelligent family pets. They love water and are loyal to their families. This sweet boy hopes to find a loving home that will enjoy him in his golden years.

Jack, he is a 5-year-old tuxedo cat. He is mostly black with white markings that resemble a tuxedo.
