Hello neighbors, my name is Audra Hull; I’m a public school mom and first-time candidate for the Fairbanks North Star Borough School Board in the Oct. 7 election. I’m running because I care deeply about our students — and I believe every child deserves a chance to thrive.
For three years I’ve been volunteering at Hunter Elementary as a Title I team member, where I’ve witnessed the challenges many students and families face, as well as the strength and resilience of our educators. My husband and I are raising six children here in Fairbanks — four of them are currently in our neighborhood schools, with our two youngest joining soon.
The school closure announcement in January 2025, was a turning point for me. I felt a deep sense of responsibility to dig in, learn the facts, and take action.
