OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - It was very chilly this morning, almost to the point of breaking a record! The coldest record recorded on September 7th was 43° set back in 1956! We tied the record this morning in downtown Omaha at 43°!

Fortunately, tonight won’t be as cold as lows will only fall to the mid to upper 50s. The night will start out clear then cloud cover will gradually increase overnight.

Spotty showers are possible during the Monday morning commute. Latest data indicates the best chance of morning showers will stay west of the metro, but light drizzles could make it to the metro. A better chance for stray storms still looks to be late Monday into early Tuesday. The severe threat is low.

Gusty winds are also possible Monday reaching up to 30 mph from the south.
