Megan Moroney has arrived at the MTV VMAs.

She is nominated for the new country music category and scheduled to perform.

The broadcast begins at 8 p.m. EST/7 p.m. CST on MTV, CBS, and Paramount+.

MTV is airing the VMAs tonight, and country music fans have a reason to pay attention. For the first time in the show's 40-year history, they've introduced a category recognizing the genre, and I think we can all agree it's about time.

The Best Country category is set to honor the biggest name in country music. Here are the nominees for the September 7 broadcast:
